* Helping and meeting people and making friends are important in forming communities, a key consideration for renters.
* Nearly two-thirds of renters consider the local community an important feature when searching for a property to rent and almost 1 in 4 would like to receive local community information.
* 71% of renters say a sense of community in the local area would influence their decision to stay longer, 48% would choose quicker and 7% are willing to pay more.
